Industrial Visit to NISE

National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE) is an autonomous institution of MNRE that implements the National Solar Mission and coordinates research, technology, and other related works. NISE maintains a solar photovoltaic module testing laboratory, battery testing facility, lighting system test laboratory, and a water pumping system.

Aim of the visit: The visit to NISE was planned to provide the students with insight into photovoltaic panels, Water heaters, Air conditioning & cooling units, and Thermal energy storage (cold storage).

The outcome of the visit: The students were able to understand the concepts of converting solar energy to various types of energy.
